Celeriac (Celery Root)

While celery root is related to common celery, it is not the root of same plant that produces those familiar celery stalks. This vegetable is grown just for its bulbous root and the mild and unique flavor that it offers.  (Although the celery-like tops can be used for broth and soups.)    Peel off the outer layer and grate or cube celery root to use in pot pie, pot roast, vegetable soup, stir-fry’s, soups and stews!
